Traditions

My cousins and I got together on Good Friday to make chrusciki. Making chrusciki for Easter is a tradition that started years ago by my little dear, my nana. If you don't know what chrusciki are, chrusciki are defined as traditional Polish cookies that are light and crispy. I actually didn't know that until I looked it up for this blog. That's not really how I would have described them. I would have said that they are an amazingly delicious pastry that can be made either thin or thick. We prefer ours on the thicker side with sugar. Chrusciki are commonly referred to as Angel Wings in grocery stores. I feel like you are really missing out on the experience if you have only tried the ones sold in retail stores. Wishing you all a blessed Easter holiday and Passover.
